The first thing we were required to build on the land before any other work could be done was a latrine.  This needed to be established before we could hold any gatherings on the land with community members, or start our community center building project.  Thanks to our generous donors on Facebook's Giving Tuesday, we raised the money we needed for this first step.  In terms of latrines, I think this one is looking very nice!  :)

While we were in Uganda in November, we got to witness some progress happening on our land in Wabukwa. Our two acres were cleared and leveled to prepare for eventual building.  It took three days and one big tractor to level this land.  Check it out!

Kuyamba Ministries brings the African Children's Choir to South Bend on August 14, 2019.
This FREE concert will be held at the Bendix Theatre at the Century Center located at 120 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, in South Bend at 7:00 p.m.  Doors will open at 6:00.  

Kuyamba is asking for you to bring a donation of mission supply items for our next trip.  These items include small tubes of toothpaste, toothbrushes, first aid cream, orajel, cortisone cream, flip flops and washcloths.   Come join us for a special night with the kids of Uganda!   

Kuyamba is excited to announce that we've officially received our NGO status in Uganda.  An NGO in Uganda is a Non-Governmental Organization that is established through the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uganda.  This is an important and necessary certification for a ministry to have to have credibility with the Ugandan government.  This will be a great help to Kuyamba as we break ground on our Kuyamba Community Center this next year in Uganda. 

Our land in Wabukwa was also officially surveyed and titled in Kuyamba Ministries name as well.  We are excited about the future!
